FrontlineSMS allows you to text message with large groups of people anywhere there is a mobile signal.

Online All the Time for Incoming SMS Messages?

Just a simple question that crossed my mind.

If we want to be able to manage incoming SMS messages 24/7 using Frontline SMS, does that mean that we should have the computer with Frontline and the associated phone plugged in and going all the time?

What happens if we receive messages on the phone while Frontline SMS is not running? Does Frontline catch up and reflect all incoming SMS that occured while it was away each time?

I just conducted my first test, and I saw Frontline SMS pull all the messages off the phone, so that means there is no need to be online all the time if you are expecting messages.

Makes sense to me!

Hi Saikyo

Sounds like you've figured this out for yourself, which is always the best way. =)

If FrontlineSMS is not running, then messages will queue up on the phone or at the message centre of you mobile operator, and FrontlineSMS will pick them up once it's running again.

Best of luck with your project, and keep us posted on what you do and how you get on.

I love that phrase... "how you get on."
