Hi Anabela

Can you confirm what you mean by 'deleted messages'? Do you mean ones you have deleted on the phone, or ones you have deleted within FrontlineSMS? If it's messages directly on the phone, then they won't be stored anywhere in FrontlineSMS I'm afraid.

Hope that helps.

The messages were deleted within the FrontlineSMS. But surely they were already deleted on the phone to enable it to continue receiving.

Okay, I think the messages are gone forever once deleted in FrontlineSMS. They are also removed from the phone as FrontlineSMS reads them (as you say), so it sounds as though you've lost these messages unfortunately.

Sorry we couldn't help you.

Ken

P.S. You've not given much information on your profile about what you're doing with FrontlineSMS - can you add a little more information for us? Thanks

I am working with a non-government organisation. We are using FrontlineSMS to get feedback from the citizens on the elections process. We are now using it for 2 consecutive years.

Thanks for such quick response.

Thanks, Anabela! I never knew you were using it for this! How have you found the software? It would be wonderful to be able to get a guest blog post from you on your use and experience. If you can do this let me know and I'll send you an email.

Hope you're able to help share your story, and happy to be able to help you here.

The software was brought to our attention by Joe Hanlon - perhaps you know him.

As for the experience, my play role was essencially to test it, get to know it and install it so that the people involved in the process can work with it. I will check with them and see what we can prepare for you.

I fully agree that we should share our experience, also aiming at improving it - like keep a record of deleted items :)
