Hello,

Can any one please guide me where can I find some examples on how to use the Include Variables from frontline in my script. In fact how to get them in my script I just created a sample php page just to display POST and GET array but frontline didn't opened the page for me.

OK I found the example

but here is another issue

I am using the huawei E220 USB Modem with FrontLine Version 1.4.6

I see that while testing it usually stops receiving messages, like the messages are not grabbed by frontlinesms but are in the SIM card itself.

Any idea what is the reason ?

Thanks

Hi Junaid

We're now working with FrontlineSMS 1.5.8 so I think the first step would be to upgrade to the latest version.

I've tried digging out your details from the database, but can't find them. Let me know what name you used when you requested the software, and I'll get a fresh link over to you.

Thanks.

Here is the user's information

He may not be able to come online for some days so I would highly appreciate if you can send me the link as early as possible.

Hi Junaid

Can you remind me what link you need (to save me following the Forum thread) and an email address to send it to?

Thanks.

You can send it to my email address now I will just upgrade it to test.

mjunaiddar@gmail.com.

Ken, also I have another issue that I have created a test keyword called 'S' and now I am sending a message to frontline using another number like this "S Junaid Here"

and then a script is getting the values and putting this into the DB but for the message content that should be 'Junaid Here' its adding only 'Junaid' I tried to add quotes (', ") but no success it breaks the message content at a space. Is the new version going to fix these issues too ?

and yes the same "space" probelm was with new contact that was named as NNAMED CONTACT, for this too only UNNAMED was adding in the DB. and due to this the the next variables data was also not saving like I had them in number name message_content and keyword so I got only number and name [unnamed part only] and next two values were lost. Then I changed the contact name to a single word the I got number, name and message [broken at the first space] and next value lost.

Ohh sorry

yes I need the "FrontlineSMS 1.5.8" download link because you informed me that my version is older and this may be causing the problems.

Thanks

Thanks Ken for the updated version.

Now I have the following problems

My Case is like this:

I have a keyword set for which I have following actions

A message response to the sender [auto_reply]
and one external command [updates a web database]

now the issue is this that when I close frontline and restart it the EXTERNAL COMMAND has its '\' removed from the command hence it is not working.

like I had a command set:

c:\Python25\python.exe d:\update_twitter.py ${message_content}

but after restart it changes to

c:Python25python.exe d:update_twitter.py ${message_content}

and this leads to a non working external command.

can you or anyone else here can guide me what to do to fix the issue. Its too urgent

AND

I just updated to FrontlineSMS 1.5.8 and it is not not sending me the auto reply message too.

Thanks
Junaid
I can't seem to reply to the post below, so am posting it here.

I'll have to leave the developers to comment on the missing backslash, but the autoreply may be failing because of a problem here:

http://frontlinesms.ning.com/forum/topic/show?id=2052630%3ATopic%3A...

If you follow the instructions to disable the Forms feature, that should fix it.
