Attaching a phone and modem

Dear members I would like to tell you that I have managed to download the soft ware. However i need more clarification on how to connect the phone and modem to my computer and how it works.

Do I need a special type of phone?

You will need to spend a little bit of time reading the website and "Help" files - most of your questions should be easy for you to solve.
