Changing variables .cvs export file and providing ports for SMS gateway

Hello,

I have 2 questions

1) Is it possible to change the variables layout in the .cvs file that i export?

For example, if the first column is the recipient number and the following columns are all activity connected to that recipient? (i know i can manually change this in excel file but i wanted to know if it can be changed on the backend as it will make my life a whole lot easier)

2) I will be using a shortcode. The shortcode company needs to have access to a port in the backend where they can direct all the traffic coming into the shortcode. Could you please provide me with this access? Or point me in the right direction that i can then point the shortcode people to?

Thanks!

Eve

Hi Eve,

Thanks for your post. I am pretty sure that the answer to your first question is no, I'm afraid. You can choose which fields to include / exclude using the tick box options given when you choose to export data, but I do not think you can change the order before exporting.  As you say, this is possible by moving the columns in the .csv once you've exported, though.

I have passed your second question onto our developer team, and they will get back to you on this as soon as possible.

Thanks,

Flo

Hi Eve,

Re: 2: are you referring to a TCP port on your local machine for HTTP callbacks from the shortcode company?  If so, it may need a bit more work to integrate with FrontlineSMS than just opening a port.  Do you have any documentation from the shortcode company about what this traffic will look like?

Alex

Hi Alex,

I've sent you the documentation to your email.

Please let me know best way forward.

Thanks!

Eve
