Frontline Projects-Capetown?

The director of United Methodist Communications will be spending some time in Capetown and I was wondering if there are any organizations based there who use Frontline SMS that he could connect with. If you've got ideas, please let me know!

Greetings! Have you tried searching the FrontlineSMS forum for users in South Africa? I just ran a quick search and it looks like there are several. You may want to try that and reach out to them directly. Do you have a planned project for Capetown, or simply gathering information?

Hi Tom, Thanks so much for your help. I'm new to the forum and just learning how to navigate! Your advice was good. I did a search and have found two persons whose work could help us (Ken Vosloo and Anton Delen). The United Methodist Church does so much work throughout Africa with education, health and more. Frontline SMS could transform the way that we get word out to people in villages. Imagine No Malaria (www.imaginenomalaria.org) is a big undertaking-we are working with UNF and others to provide education, bednets, treatment and more. If you have any other suggestions, I'd really appreciate them. Neelley

I'd be interested in hearing more about your program and the potential for FrontlineSMS of making a positive impact. Will you be using CHW's or main village contacts to communicate with via SMS? The good thing about FLSMS is the flexibility in how it can be used. Let us know how it goes.
