my modem work fine in my ubuntu.. sometimes i use it to connect to the internet if wired network is not available... i also have sony ericsson phone model:K800i and also works fine in my ubuntu...

hahahahahah ....... tnx sir alex for the last suggestion...
it works.....

the problem is the rxtxserial file bundled in the installer...
it needs to be updated with the latest version released.

this should be included in the instruction if in case it will not work... :)

i love you all guys...... :)
....

Yep...this worked for me as well:

sudo apt-get install librxtx-java

Then remove the librxtxSerial.so file from the FrontlineSMS directory, then create a link to the newly installed file like this:

ln -sf /usr/lib/librxtxSerial.so librxtxSerial.so

Thanks to this forum it works with my problem as well...More Power to you Guys!
