Dear all,
Please help me understand how i can load a form created through FSMS onto my mobile handset. I watched the video (part 3) but unfortunately my phones are not able to download the form even after entering the server number of the modem. I am using Nokia C1 handset.
thanks
Joel

Permalink Reply by Joel Kuria on September 19, 2012 at 4:06am I have FSMS version 1.6 and the phone is java-enabled with internet connection. I managed to load FSMS app on the phone but the challenge is that i am unable to get new forms. I went to settings and set my modem number but the phone cannot pull the form even after i send the form through FSMS in my laptop. What could the issue be?

When you request new forms on the phone, you should see an SMS arrive in the inbox of FrontlineSMS - this is the text message that requests the new form. It will be from the phone number of your mobile phone, and the content will be some encoded values. Please check your inbox and let me know if you can see this message.
If you do not see the message in FrontlineSMS, could you try the following:

Good to hear from you. All that you have mentioned above is affirmative on my end. I can see the encoded message on my FSMS, i added the full number including country code, i can send an sms from FSMS and able to receive it on my phone.
Unfortunately i am not able to download the forms. Do i need to load the forms by connecting each phone to the laptop?

If you have a form set up, selecting 'get new forms' on the phone should have resulted in the form being sent to your phone. You don't need to physically connect any phone in order to send the forms across.
Please repeat these steps then send your log files across using the procedure described at the bottom of this page. We'll have a look and see what's wrong.
Thanks,
Sitati.
