try surrounding your command with double quotes ("") and check that this path is actually readable (open a command window and try it there first).
Best of luck,
Morgan

Permalink Reply by Joey G. Natividad on October 21, 2011 at 3:27am i enclose with double quotes but it doesn't work
details:
"c:\documents and settings\users\joey\myfolder\MyApp.exe"
i also tried this: with "\\" because i thought the "\" is an escape key.
"c:\\documents and settings\\users\\joey\\myfolder\\MyApp.exe"
my current project is i have this application created in c# that will control an electronic device. by sending a text message using a keyword, the flsms should execute this application. e.g. the application will turn on/off the device.
hoping,
joey

have you tried this exact command window (the windows black screen)?
Permalink Reply by Joey G. Natividad on October 21, 2011 at 3:57am yep sir, through command prompt in windows (terminal), it works fine...
Permalink Reply by Morgan Belkadi on October 21, 2011 at 4:03am Did you have any error displayed?
Can you send your logs?
Permalink Reply by Joey G. Natividad on October 21, 2011 at 4:14am no error appeared.
details:
i have a keyword PRINTERON
and i set external command > command line execution with the following command:
"c:\printer\on\Device.exe"
whenever i text PRINTERON nothings happen sir... but when i try to execute that command in the windows terminal it works perfectly...
any idea about this sir?...
tnx in advance...
Permalink Reply by Morgan Belkadi on October 21, 2011 at 4:17am Ok, but are you sure the keyword action is triggered?
Try adding an auto-reply as well and check you actually receive the response.
If you do, then there is something wrong when launching the Device.exe program, and we'll need to see your logs to have a better view of the situation.
If not... ;-)
Permalink Reply by Joey G. Natividad on October 21, 2011 at 4:32am i think you're right sir...
i added some auto reply,, but the FLSMS will not send the autoreply message, so i think keyword is not triggered...
Permalink Reply by Morgan Belkadi on October 21, 2011 at 4:34am Well then check your message is really starting with the keyword (no extra space or anything), and that the keyword is active in FrontlineSMS.
Once you'll have the keyword working, your command should be executed properly ;-)
Best of luck,
Morgan
Permalink Reply by Joey G. Natividad on October 21, 2011 at 5:13am sir Morgan,
i made it,,, my local machine System date is not properly set... start date and end date of keyword activation is set to 2012 that is why keyword is not triggered... because text messages recieved date is 2011
i can now move to another project... :D
tnx for the help sir Morgan and FLSMS
