Received messages keep duplicating enormously

Hi All,

I am able to send and receive but the received messages on FRONTLINESMS on my laptop keeps duplicating itself even when the sender replies or sends a message once. 

I have tried 2 different internet modems but same thing happens. Also, I just started using FRONTLINESMS about a week ago.

Welcome to FrontlineSMS community. Thank you for posting the question on the forum. Please check that FrontlineSMS is deleting the messages from the modem once they're read. You can do this by going to the "Phones" tab, and then right-clicking on the modem name in the list, and selecting the settings. Make sure that messages are deleted after receipt by ticking the appropriate box. You can also check that there no multiple connections to the same modem.

If the problem persists, you can try testing the SIM card on your phone and see if multiple messages are being received there as well.

Thanks Michael for the prompt response. The messages are actually not to be deleted, they are to be collated and used to make an informed decision hence my inability to delete the messages. This actually happened with two different modems/sim cards hence my curiosity.

Hi Adedayo,

By selecting the delete check box, messages will only be deleted on the sim card/modem memory. The messages received will remain in FrontlineSMS. This is the only solution to prevent the problem of duplicate messages. 

If you would like to share the messages with other users, please consider using the export function. Messages can be exported to a CSV format.
