Hello,

I just installed version frontlinesms 1.6.16.3

I'd love to use version 2 but it seems it doesn't have database connection at this moment.

so I reverted back to previous version.

While running and connecting the phone I encountered this error.

"Runtime error #3(trap)"

and from the Pop-up "Unexpected Error" window

I got this message from Details section

BTW, I tried to uninstall and reinstall it, the same error appears.

Anyone encountered this?

Hello Sila,

Thank you for your reply. Ok will instal v2 again, will both version utilize the same modem? I presume there will be no conflict.

Leo

Hello Azaleo,

Could you kindly assist us with information concerning the phone model you are using with FrontlineSMS so that we can trace out the problem?

Regards,

Geoffrey

Hi Leo,

We have been able to reproduce this problem. If it works on your laptop then there might be a problem with the software on the desktop. What operating system is it using and would it be possible for you to inform us which version of Java is installed in the desktop?

Regards,

Geoffrey

Hello Geoffrey,

Sorry for the late reply, I just return from a convetion.

My Desktop is freshly installed, a window Xp sp 2 and no other programs installed.

I think the Java is ver 7 from this http://java.com/en/download/manual.jsp.

What i think is. during the windows installation, i remember some file are missing from the disc so I just skip them. Maybe its one of the reason.

I will probably install it again.

BTW does frontlinesms work under windows 98 environment?

I think i don't need the windows xp features.

or What Ubuntu Linux can you recommend?

Regards

Leo

Hi Leo,

This could be a problem since we have not encountered any problems of this kind when we install the software on a Windows XP machine.

The software works on both Windows 98 as well as Ubuntu. You could try using Ubuntu 11.04 and above. You can down load the linux version here.

Regards,

Geoffrey
