FrontlineSMS

FrontlineSMS allows you to text message with large groups of people anywhere there is a mobile signal.

I am interested in deploying a large country-wide project using FSMS. The project will eventually need to send and receive millions of messages. It would be great to connect with someone on the Frontline Development Team to discuss system requirements. This project may sync with Ushahidi (eventually).

Is it be possible with the server version of FSMS to have a central web-based dashboard to manage messages without the Ushahidi sync?

Hi Jamie

Thanks for your message. Right now, FrontlineSMS is unlikely to scale to those levels and will need some work before it did. It is possible to run a web-based version too, but again some work would need to be done. We're happy to help work through this if you have the developer resources to make the changes - we won't be doing this for a while.

Let me know, and let me know what timeframes you are working to.

Thanks.

Ken
Hi Ken,

Thanks for your quick response.

We will definitely have a developer on board. The timeframe will depend on the systems requirements and the development work (rather than the other way around). I am currently developing a budget for implementation, so I'm trying to get an idea of the amount of dev work involved and the IT requirements for a web-based version.

Please feel free to email me at jamie [dot] lundine [at] gmail [dot] com

Thanks!

Jamie
