Hi,

While trying to send a completed 'form' from FLsms to my mobile 'sony ericsson w960', i only got a text msg saying :
'There is a new form available for frontlinesms: frm_name' .
I have the 'form client: Frontline Forms ' on my mobile phone.I clicked on 'Get New Forms' after which i got a msg on my server saying "AAI+gSUAAAECAQAlDQIAAA==" but FLsms never responded back with the 'form' .
Am i missing out any step here ? Pls help

Hello, gud afternoon...

Using this (Get New Forms), will send sms message to FLsms to request any new forms. So, FLsms will return forms to this handset if they have been sent to this handset in FLsms. " Make sure the server Phone number settings entered on your mobile phone is accurate/correct. " ( Using "Frontlineforms" on your mobile phone, select the Option settings, enter the server phone number, then save settings. ) You cannot use FrontlineForms unless you have a SERVER PHONE NUMBER.

(Please correct me if I'm wrong).

That sounds correct. The "server phone number" is the phone number for your handset attached to FrontlineSMS on your computer.

The following line was indeed missing :
forms.message.handler=com.masabi.frontlinesms.forms.MasabiFormsMessageHandler

After adding it , i am having other problems...the message window show multiple message that are being sent . Initially i did a 'get new forms' from my mobile and opened the messages window....i started seeing many messages that were being sent to my phone. Fearing of being charged for so many messages, i closed the appln ...restarted and deleted all pending messages and i even deleted my contact having my phone number. Then i closed and restarted the appln once again after a couple of hours and i see the same effect of multiple duplicate messages......Luckily i did not receive any message on my cell phone...This happened for 10min after which all msgs were in sent status...i am attaching the snap...pls let me know if this is expected behavior....I will also send the error report now...

This doesn't look good at all - sorry it's happening. Could you send us your error logs? Perhaps these will give us a clue what is causing the problem.

Hello Alex,

I think that problem is solved for now...i just deleted the form and created new one.
Now when i do a 'get new forms' from my mobile phone, i get a msg :' (No Forms) '
on FLSMS message window. But there is no response/form that is sent back to my mobile. I am zipping and sending the log files again.

Hi Varun,

From the logs, it appears there may be a bug with the Forms code. Could you try deleting the FrontlineForms application from your handset and then re-installing it? I think it should then work.

There is no change even after doing this. I uninstalled frontlineforms from handset, downloaded and installed the generic version of the client. Is there a recommended version for my phone sony ericsson w960?

You should probably use this build of FrontlineForms: http://forms.frontlinesms.com/FrontlineForms_SE_W960.zip

I don't think this will solve the problem though - it seems to be caused by a corruption of your database. There are two ways to solve this:

1. Delete your FrontlineSMS database and restart FrontlineSMS.
This will definitely solve the problem, but will also mean you lose all your data.

2. In Debug > Direct Database Access > SQL, execute the following SQL query:
DELETE FROM frontline_forms_permission WHERE form_id=1

Please do let me know if these instructions aren't clear.

Hi Alex,

Well...i changed the 'forms' client on my phone and also deleted frontline.db file....restarted FLSMS and repeated the flow of sending 'form' to my mobile..... Request server for 'form'.... I never get the actual form but message history shows 5 sent messages with body = "Form name: frm_Poll". Will upload log..

Sorry for not getting back to you. Your logs appear to show the Form is sending correctly. Have you ever managed to receive a form on your phone? What make and model is the phone running FrontlineForms? What make and model is the phone you have attached to FrontlineSMS?

No i have not received the form on my mobile yet. I am using sony ericsson w960i as client phone. I am using the the 'forms' build that you posted recently for this phone.

We are using a gsm modem to connect to computer
Make and Model :
At&t USBconnect quicksilver option gi0322.
Do you think it is the problem with gsm modem?
