Actually, what I have done now is switch to windows, I run a dual boot, so I installed it fine, but still haven't got it to detect the modem.
The previous error I have posted was got on my windows side of things, wonder why my modem is not being detected :(

There's a "Troubleshooting" section in the "Help" files which lists a few things you can try if the modem won't connect. Work through that and see if anything helps.
If not, could you start a new discussion on the Forum here? This post is about finding modems, rather than trying to get a specific one to work.

Seems like FrontlineSMS is having some difficulties.
Quick check: have you got a PIN set on your SIM card?
If you do, try disabling it. If not, we'd better take a closer look - can you send us your log files? (Help > Submit Error Report; please do this just after detection has failed).
