In the beginning of October 2011, Nokia, UNESCO and the Pearson Foundation launched a joint initiative to develop various suggestions on how mobile communication can help achieve Education for All (EFA) goals. The initiative has highlighted a different EFA goal each month and they are currently featuring a sub-challenge on Gender Parity and Equality in Education. The objective of this sub-challenge is to come up with ideas on how mobile communication can help improve gender parity and equality in education.
To submit an idea, participants only need to click on the Create an Idea link to the right of the gender challenge introductory paragraph. The winner of this sub-challenge will receive a free phone as well as $3000 and a library of children’s books. The project ends on the 31st of May.
