FrontlineSMS allows you to text message with large groups of people anywhere there is a mobile signal.
Hello. We are using FLSMS and PV in a project for diabetes self-management support in DR Congo, Cambodia and the Philippines.
WIth FLSMS itself no problems - it works simply and fine. We hope that in the future it is possible to link the data from Patient view directly with the messaging module, so that you can target the messages to persons with certain characteristics.
For now a particular question about the forms-module in PV/FLSMS:
In Cambodia, we send FORMS made by Frontline SMS and Patient View to a Nokia C5 smartphone, but they do not open in that phone. Any idea if it is the type of smartphone that is the problem? Or is the software not yet smart-phone usable?
thanks for your help,

Its great to hear from you, and to hear that things are going well generally with your FrontlineSMS and Patient View use.
In terms of using FrontlineForms, you can find a list of compatible devices we've tested here on our website. The Nokia C5 smartphone is not on the list we've tested, I'm afraid, and FrontlineForms is compatible with java-enabled phones rather than smart phones. For your reference - I have recently been in touch with another FrontlineForms user in Cambodia, and they are successfully using the Nokia 5130 Xpress for their work.
As you may know, further information on FrontlineForms can be found in our help files here and in this videoon the forum. If you need any additional help please do let us know.
It would be great if you can keep us updated on your project. We'd love to cover it at some point on our blog if possible, so do feel free to stay in touch about this!
Thanks
Flo
Dear Florence, thank you for your reply and the problem is solved. We will keep you updated. At present we are still in preparation phase, also still talking with people from MedicMobile, about the connection with PV.
Thanks, Josefien
