Hi there!

Right now, we're in the process of piloting Helpline SMS teams in Nepal, Cameroon, Vietnam and potentially San Francisco. Using Frontline SMS as our main platform, we're building SMS teams that can relay informational texts on human trafficking, latest cases, warning signs etc, and essentially create an alert-response system. This is particularly useful for rural areas that are vulnerable to trafficking. It allows villagers to stay up-to-date with the latest information, and communicate cases or issues in a timely manner to experts in the field. In SF, the Helpline SMS model will operate slightly differently; it will work more like a hotline to vulnerable teens as a way of talking about partner violence, pimping/prostitution, and other domestic issues.

If anyone is interested in getting involved or learning more, email us at or msg us on Ning!
