I am implementing FrontlineSMS:Medic with the Mali Health Organizing Project in Sikoro-Sourakabougou, Bamako, Mali. Children under the age of five receive in-home preventative consultations and free clinic visits, in return for their family's participation in community health actions. FrontlineSMS:Medic allows clinical staff to receive remote patient health records and communicate effectively with community health workers. In addition, FrontlineSMS:Medic is partnering with the Ministry of Health's Agence de Télésanté et l'Informatique Médicale (ANTIM) to develop solutions for national level health programs.

I recently graduated from Lewis & Clark College with a degree in International Relations. I joined FrontlineSMS:Medic in May and am very excited to adapt our program to the Malian context. I will be living here in Sourakabougou for the next year, after which I will be headed to medical school.
