- I work as a consultant for mobile new media and conflict sensitive reporting. The company I started in 2006, Jasmine Newswires, first used delivery systems similar to Frontline SMS during our pilot phase to reach a few hundred news subscribers. And then we tied up with telcos to reach the mass public. We reached 180,000 news subscribers during our peak in 2009-2010, with databases and subscriptions managed by the telcos. I am interested in whether Frontline SMS is geared to work with subscriptions (set periods when a number is active and then automatically deactivated, maybe renewal reminders sent, batch editing of groups to make them active or inactive) so that small new media companies can commercialize their services during their pilot phase to make themselves self sustaining, until they tie up with telcos.
