Profile Information

Why are you interested in FrontlineSMS? How did you hear about it? (To help us filter out spammers, we need as MUCH detail as possible, else we may not be able to approve your request. If you'd rather not share this information openly please email info@frontlinesms.com before joining)
I found Frontline SMS on the web and Twitter. I represent a UK Charity and I am keen to know how SMS might be incorporated in our future development work. Also how we might partner with organisations already utilising the software.
Tell us about you. (Please also add an image to your profile)
I am volunteering for UK Charity Purple Field Productions who make educational and humanitarian films for the developing world. We are currently making films in Malawi and I am interested in the positive aspects of SMS texting in our work - eg. helping with distribution of the films, letting villages know when mobile cinema kits are in the area, follow up work after films have been shown etc.

Hi Colin,

Great to see you're making good use of the forum, and that you have managed to connect with Amy too! Just to let you know, as Amy mentioned, the best way to start conversation topics in both the main forum and the groups is to start your own discussion thread, so that all comments on your project stay in that thread.

You may also notice in the agriculture group that Clare Salisbury started a thread about her plans to make a documentary on agriculture and SMS. Although she is not planning to work in Malawi could still be worth connecting with her to share ideas. Just a thought.

It will be really great to stay in touch - both here on the forum and via email - as your project progresses.

Cheers!

Florence
