"Jack,    It looks like you've got some great help there. I only managed to get the system running with a nokia phone while in Haiti (which I brought from the US). As Leonard said, getting Frontline to work can be problematic. However,…"

"Thanks, Roz! Windows 7 is still relatively new and there are quite likely to be driver issues for a short while. At least you're up and running with the Nokia for now. Best of luck, and keep us posted on how things go and/or if you find the…"

"Ken, Thanks for the reply! I have tried connecting the modem straight to the computer, but that hasn't worked. That is why I have also tried using the Nokia. None of the modems are working, which is why I thought it was perhaps a driver…"

"Hi Roz A quick question - if you have Huawei modems there, then you shouldn't need the phone and USB cables - why not plug the modem straight into your netbook? That would be a much easier solution. Let me know if there's any reason why…"

Hello Roz,
I am trying to get FrontlineSMS up and running with my org. in Haiti. My questions are 2-fold: 1) How much does one of the recommended GSM modem go for these days in Haiti (is it more or less economical than the mobile options) and 2) Where can one buy said GSM modem (I'm location in Delmas 48 in Port-au-Prince)
Thank you again and I greatly appreciate all help

JACK
