Mobile technology to reformulate the PRS drive.

The government of Liberia drive to development must be basic techno sensitive; it has been observed that the most talked about PRS, Poverty Reduction Strategy failed to graduate many development agenda simply because those PRS indicators lack technological input.Incorporating mobile technology as a development tool in driving the most of the Liberian developmental agenda must be consider.The Liberia Government Must incorporate the model of Frontline SMS for its PRS review.See More

Broadcasting meaningful content to the macro section of my population, especially those who have living below $1.00 per day. To bring development to the door step of my mega agro community, help them to have access to content information that could help them in decision making for the use of impact on their life.

I am an IT profession, who of recent got interested in the plight of the concern for the improvement of Liberia web image, in he area of development, hospital, education, etc. seeking SMS as the cheapest means of gettng message to underprivillege sector of the population.

We have some resources to help you get started with FrontlineSMS, such as Ashoka's Quick Start Guide if you have specific questions about using FrontlineSMS then feel free to ask them on the forum and the team / other users would be happy to help. Just make sure you are clear about what your situation is (what phone/modem you are using, what you have tried and if you are having specific issues).

 

Florence has given me some great advice, suggesting that you might want to join the election monitoring group and perhaps start a thread there. There are plenty of examples of FrontlineSMS having been used in election monitoring previously such as the recent Nigeria example which Nicola pointed out below.  In fact, one of the first public deployments of the software was in the Nigerian elections in 2007
