Hello,I am trying to find a way to automatically export forms data to an Access database once it is sent to the server (maybe using external commands?). But the extent of my knowledge doesn't include…Continue

"Thanks, Alex -- I was able to install and configure a MySQL database on my machine (key step was actually creating the database from the MySQL client, then FL took it from there!). I have further succeeded in pulling in table data into excel using…"

Alex Anderson replied to Jeff Seaman's discussion Export of forms data to Access?
"Hi Jay, If you use a MySQL database with FrontlineSMS, I expect you could poll this periodically from Excel using VBA.  I've no experience with VBA though, so I can't suggest much more than that.   Alex"

"Hi jay   We did talk about the potential of allowing incoming Form data to trigger an action in "External Commands", which could have written the data to an external database, CSV, or whatever. We're not planning on doing much…"

Jay replied to Jeff Seaman's discussion Export of forms data to Access?
"I'd like to do something similar to Jeff, without necessarily having to export data into a CSV. It would be ideal if Forms data could appear automatically in an Excel spreadsheet, in real time. Like Jeff, I'm not much of a coder, but my…"

Database corruption

I've been using Frontline forms for a little while, and have run into quite a few issues that can I've only been able to fix by deleting the databases and restarting Frontline. Some of the problems are:-no forms sent to mobile client-when editing forms, changes are not saved after hitting the 'save' button-forms copy in reverse order-unable to delete forms-unable to export forms data (the unexpected error screen pops up)I was wondering if there is a reason that the database is apparently…See More

"I also have found a very similar solution. I had added the country code to the contact information, but had left in an unnecessary zero (i.e. +855-077-xxx-xxx). Sending messages from the contact to FLSMS was fine and vice versa, except for forms.…"

Jeff Seaman replied to varun bj's discussion Unable to send form to mobile
"I have had the same problems, but all the issues occurred after forms had been working fine for 3 weeks. I've re-installed the FLSMS app on the client phone, reset network access permission, and deleted the FLSMS database, but nothing works.…"

I am interning with an NGO and piloting a monitoring methodology using Frontline SMS. I am from Canada, and I need to figure out how it works, implement it, work out the kinks, and then train a whole bunch of national staff.

I'm a 23 year old Canadian, just finished university, and am interning with Samaritan's Purse Canada, but am working for a partner organization called Hagar Cambodia. I am loving the country, but not loving the heat.
