Hi Shektar Unfortunately I'm not a Linux user so can't give you any advice on testing the modem. In Windows I'd open up the COM port it's attached to and try sending AT commands to it in Hyperterminal, but don't know any equivalents in Ubuntu. If…

Hi Shekhar Sorry to hear you're having problems connecting. Are there any utilities you can run to prove the modem is fully connected and working? If not, have you tried installing FrontlineSMS on another machine, or removing it and trying to reins…

Issues with W Vista and Mac?

Hi Ken,

I have been struggling with FSMS for long time now.I use a macbook with W vista also installed on it.

I purchased a Motorola L6i but as I could not get the cord here I could not use it.
Leter I purchased a sonyerricson W200 but as it does have drivers for Vista or Mac I could not use it too.

I tried some locally available GSM modems too but could not connect to the FSMS.

Finally I also purchased wavecom modem which was expensve and difficult to get.

Now I am still struck as FSMS could not connect to the modem both on Mac and vista sides.

Can you please let me know how to configure with Mac or Vista. I am not sure if auto -detect function can work.

I was successfull when I tried on freinds XP but all the systems in my reach are either Mac's or Vista.

Looking for your support. I send the log also recently.
I was very excited that some one is heping the community with such free FSMS and support but nowit is equally frustating as I have already spent significant time but not successfull.

Thanks,
Deep.

Hi Ken,

Greeting from Cambodia! Just want to check with you, is there any update on the Khmer language integration into the new release of FrontlineSMS? Please keep me posted as I will be very proud to see it's out.

Anyway, there will be an upcoming ICT event in Phnom Penh this early October. It's called BarCamp Phnom Penh 2, which will be take place on 3-4 Oct 2009 here. Here's the link - http://barcampphnompenh.org/
I'm thinking it would be great to have a short presentation about FrontlineSMS and other of your projects which might be beneficial here to Cambodians, both NGOs and ordinary people. Please share me your thought.

Last item is that I just had a quick talk with Rob about setting up another 1 more new FrontlineSMS server in Phnom Penh. I'm very excited about it.

Best regards and nice weekend,

Vantharith

Hey Ken,

I'm running 1.5.5 on both Windows and Mac and it looks like there was an upgrade to 1.5.8. I'm also looking at running it one Linux. Could I get the latest downloads?

I'm having a lot of fun exploring all the possibilities with FrontlineSMS. Thanks a bunch for software like this.
