- I am amazed about how widely available mobile infrastructure is in even the most remote communities. I think this is a great initiative to release the software and believe there are so many possibiltites here.

- I am a volunteer with an NGO in Medellin Colombia. We with Afro-Colombian communities in the Choco Bioregion. We approach development from a social business perspective and thus deal in FairTrade goods. I am interested in how Frontline SMS can be used to transfer price information and how producers can reply in order to help manage supply/inventory. It is possible that we will pilot a project in coming months.

Here at FrontlineSMS we are seeking to build up a collection of case studies, providing an insight in to the key learning gained by projects using our software. It would be great if we could perhaps put together a case study on your project? If you are interested, we would be happy to draft the case study based on the report and recommendations you are already putting together. To give you an idea of what a FrontlineSMS case study would look like you can see an example from Plan International here. Just an idea - do let me know if you'd like to take this forward.

Glad to hear that more people is aware of this excellent software in Colombia,
In regards to your question, The project still on early stages, I'm not particular with Colombia telco providers, I know that a friend of mine successfully deploy a Project in Barranquilla, I think he says that he worked a deal with MIO but again not sure about it. Now, you don't have to have your FSM box in choco.. you can have it, lets say in Medellin ( where additional telcos should be available) Please let me know if you need some help with that.
