- As a Peace Corps Volunteer in Nicaragua, I am working on Project ChatSalud,an SMS-based sexual and reproductive health hotline in coordination with the Nicaraguan Red Cross and other local partners. The goal of the project is to eliminate barriers to accessing health information due to "pena," or a cultural hesitancy of talking about sex, by providing a completely anonymous means of access. We are using FrontlineSMS to run the hotline, collect data, and to automate the hotline as much as possible.
