I have been able to send a message with 4 parts to 4 people. Therefore i think the problem might be with your network operator or may be you run out of airtime while sending. Just check then get back us.
The same file that stores the contacts is the same file that stores the messages. The name of the file is 'frontlinesms_h2_db.h2.db' and it is in the home directory of FrontlineSMS. Let us know if this is helpful
