- I'm researching the use of ICT (with a heavy focus on mobiles) in Kenya by local NGOs. And, I volunteer with Ushahidi in Kenya helping users get started with the platform, and many use FSMS.

- I am a doctoral candidate in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. My dissertation research focuses on new media (mobile and Internet) in Kenya, particularly in the human rights and social justice non-profit sector. I am researching how NGOs use information and communication technologies (ICT) in their work and how their constituents use information and resources disseminated via ICT.
