Peter Mureithi Kariuki commented on Josh Nesbit's group Agriculture"I send about 250 short messages in about 25 to 30 minutes from Kenya to six countries. I use Airtel Sim Card and blue tooth connection and have not experienced delays. I dont know what Joseph is using but maybe he can try this."

- I work with a project that covers six countries in East and central Africa. These countries have diverse internet connectivity ranging from good to poor to non existent. However mobile signal coverage is pretty good. The need to communicate at scale with our large number of front line staff made front line SMS our method of choice. This involves sending short messages to our front line on project activities and receiving feedback on where support is needed.

- I work for Catholic Relief Services (CRS) as the program officer for Great Lakes Cassava Initiative (GLCI) project. Despite offering overall project support, I am specifically responsible for the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in improving overall project communication. These technologies include among others front line SMS system.
