Sitati Kituyi replied to Zoely Tiana Ralamboarisoa's discussion Connecting frontlinesms 2.4.4 to mysql database
"Hi, Sorry, that exception is being thrown in your PHP code, not in FrontlineSMS, so I can't identify the cause. The link below shows a sample PHP integration that allows you to send sms via a webconnection. Hopefully this will help you debug…"

Sitati Kituyi replied to Jose Thomas's discussion Frontline SMS version 2.4.4 failing with serial.SerialClassFactory - Failed to load serial package: gnu.io
"Hi Jose, The rxtxSerial warning message you mention should not be preventing the app from starting, this is a library used to support modems. You mention you successfully set up a FrontlineSync connection, this must mean that when you load the app…"

Sitati Kituyi replied to Zoely Tiana Ralamboarisoa's discussion Connecting frontlinesms 2.4.4 to mysql database
"Hi Zoely, We don't support this functionality in FrontlineSMS2. Instead, if you'd like to connect to a third party app, the recommended way to do so is using the WebConnection activity's 2-way API. Here's some documentation on…"

Sitati Kituyi replied to Jurie's discussion Slow sending SMS and delayed recieved Sms
"Hi,Thanks for the information. Unfortunately slow message sending is quite typical when using a modem. A workaround would be to use an Android phone, as these can send out messages faster. If you are interested in this, please contact us on…"

"Hi Ariel,Could you send us your logs? They'll be in your home folder (e.g. 'C:\Users\ariel\ if you're on windows) in a subfolder called '.frontlinesms2'. Inside that folder there are 2 files, standard.log and…"

Sitati Kituyi replied to Helena Puig Larrauri's discussion CSV export in Arabic
"Hi Ray, I've just recreated this in FrontlineSMS 2.3.1 on a Mac, so I don't think it's a Windows-related issue. I've raised a bug to investigate this. We made changes recently to the export functionality, which might explain why…"

Sitati Kituyi replied to Laura Walker Hudson's discussion Feedback on the beta release of FrontlineSMS Version 2 for Linux

Sitati Kituyi replied to Laura Walker Hudson's discussion Feedback on the beta release of FrontlineSMS Version 2 for Linux

Hi Sitati,

I'm using FrontlineSMS 2.2.1...what I did was use the csv list sent to me by Geoffrey (see below). It managed to import most of this list onto the main contact list for FrontlineSMS. I'm using this list to form a series of small groups to contact about new Dental Services at the clinic...so far it seems to be working great in the sense that I'm able to send around 900 SMS successfully each day..problem occurs when I need to form a new group...I can't seem to create more than 2 groups at a time, which means deleting old groups to form new ones to SMS...when I do this it seems that the main contact list reduces by the exact same number of contacts as I've placed in the groups that I've formed...I'm not too sure how to resolve the problem.
With thanks,
Koome.
