"The exception reported is 'noSuchPortException'. This means the problem isn't to do with interference of any other applications, but our drivers do have an issue connecting. Could you try deleting all the connections you've…"
Yes, you should be able to connect to a mounted serial port, but only if no other application is using it. If this is still affecting you, please email the logs (in ~/.frontlinesms2/*.log) to email@example.com and we'll try to find…"
Sorry, Ning won't let me continue that previous thread any further. Thanks for the update, do you mind sending your logs to firstname.lastname@example.org? The log files should be stored in a ~/.frontlinesms2 folder. This will help us…"
Apologies for the delay with this. Could you let me know which version of FrontlineSMS you are using, is it the latest (2.2.1)? If not, please try updating to the latest and let me know whether this keeps happening. You can download…"
Thanks...please find the zip files attached...I look forward to your reply....I've posted a comment on your wall just in case someone else may be going through the same thing.
I'm using FrontlineSMS 2.2.1...what I did was use the csv list sent to me by Geoffrey (see below). It managed to import most of this list onto the main contact list for FrontlineSMS. I'm using this list to form a series of small…"
I had a look through the logs, and it looks like multiple messages failed to send on the 6th due to FrontlineSMS temporarily losing its connection to the modem.
This looks like a one-off issue, as it would only occur if the connection…"
My understanding is that the messages are successfully sent to Ushahidi, but they are not saved as reports. If so, this sounds like configuration required on the Ushahidi side. Our test instance automatically saves the messages as reports…"
The URL should be entered on the SMSSync client side. Could you email to email@example.com? We'll use your email address to have a look at your connection and confirm what the issue might be.
I'm sorry to hear of the difficulties you're having. I'll answer the questions in the order asked:
Unfortunately not - this hanging could be due to any of a number of factors that are specific to the computer/modem…"
The SMSSync functionality should be working fine, but there is a bug with the URL we display on the connection list, which is probably what caused your issue. We'll be releasing a fix by tomorrow which will correct this. To get your…"
"Hi Aleem, greetings from Nairobi!
You're right, most of the models that work over USB are now old and are therefore getting quite hard to find. We generally find that USB Modems are easier to find in many countries, and also more reliable and…"
"Just a (very late) update for anyone else who stumbles across this, as it's a first-page Google search result.
Routing error usually occurs when trying to send a message to the US or Canada through Clickatell without a two-way number.…"
"Unfortunately we have to write an integration for each web aggregator; FrontlineSMS cannot connect to a new one without a custom integration. The ones you see available in the "new connection" section of the app are the only ones available…"

I'm using FrontlineSMS 2.2.1...what I did was use the csv list sent to me by Geoffrey (see below). It managed to import most of this list onto the main contact list for FrontlineSMS. I'm using this list to form a series of small groups to contact about new Dental Services at the clinic...so far it seems to be working great in the sense that I'm able to send around 900 SMS successfully each day..problem occurs when I need to form a new group...I can't seem to create more than 2 groups at a time, which means deleting old groups to form new ones to SMS...when I do this it seems that the main contact list reduces by the exact same number of contacts as I've placed in the groups that I've formed...I'm not too sure how to resolve the problem.
