- I recently joined a small development organization. Part of my job is data collection, and I'd like to more or less automate the process. FrontlineSMS + cell phones in the field (where there's good cell tower coverage, anyway) seems like a good way to automate the data entry process, particularly with the ability to pass data to a command-line script. I also plan on using FrontlineSMS's ability to process commands via text message to provide me with updates on project progress from the field by passing my data requests to the command line and then onto my data analysis software.
