I am involved in a community media project. I think frontline sms is the route to go in zimbabwe since community radios are not allowed to go live on air as yet. I view this platform as a market place of ideas and information sharing since the like minded will be interacting on best practices. I got to know about frontline sms from my friend.
Tell us about you. (Please also add an image to your profile)
I am currently Getjenge FM(Plumtree Community Radio) Station manager. I am passionate about development and making a contribution towards helping develop my community. Media play a pivotal role in the dissemination and distribution of information which is key to the empowerment and development of any people. In my country, community radios are a new concept hence my desirefor my station(Getjenge FM) to be a model community radio that helps deliver positive change and development in my community.

I am interested to know how your radio station interacts with the audience? Do you mostly use text message / voice calls / station visits? How many SMS do you receive a day? Is there a particular show which promotes more interaction? Do you ever run polls?
