Vodafone rant / warning

I am running a workshop in Nigeria this coming Monday, and wanted to showcase FrontlineSMS. I installed the software and went out to get a dongle. I happened to find a good deal at Vodafone. I asked the guy at the shop if it would allow me to send and receive SMSs, and he said yes (this was, btw, at the Brunswick centre shop,

London).

We don't have much more information on uses, over and above the Guest Posts, I'm afraid. We will start collecting more data over the course of the year.

As for the Beta, this is still very much work in progress (and testing is still being done), so we can't support it right now. If you're happy to give it a go and are okay figuring it out for yourself, you can get it here:

You might also want to ask about any good stories in the use of FrontlineSMS in this area, since this is the focus of the site.
