Technical Assistance Needed - Frontline Hanging

I’m with the Clinton Health Access Initiative in Malawi. We’re piloting Frontline SMS at 4 rural health centers to follow up patients when they miss appointments and to notify them when to return for test results.

Improving automation of FL on Ubuntu Linux

Hi all,

First I would like to thank all FL developers and community for this nice tool and all the resources available on this blog.

I noticed how it was usefull to automate the launching of FL at startup of the system. Indeed, here in Niger, blackouts shut often the system down.

I installed last version on FL (1.6.12) on a Ubuntu 10.4 with a Nokia 3220 and a USB cable CA-42.

Will Frontline SMS do this? -store and send out messages according to the number received on a certain subject

The scenario:

There is to be a meeting but how many people can attend? - perhaps none - perhaps many.

What I would like to do is for people to be able to send a message to say if they will attend. Then for that message to be stored until a certain time. Then if there are a certain number of messages collected ( a quorum for the meeting) then all those people will be sent a message to say that the meeting will go ahead.

How to send Sms directly...

dear freind

i m using frontline sms in my project SmP safe motherhood program.
i which i have to send sms to the particular mobile number through frontline sms
but the i do not use the frontline sms IDE i want to use the only databas.
i want to just insert the data in the frontlinesms_messages table of the database.
and the frontline sms will send the sms to the particular number.

HELP

Hi, thanks for replying. acutally I am working for an NGO and we are doing a study on Family Planning through SMS in which females have to reply certain questions through SMS. I have around 30 females in the study from which i am receiving all the replies but around 3 to 4 replys are not reaching me. I dont know what seems to be the problem with these numbers?

attempting to set up email forwarding

I am attempting to set up email forwarding and running into problems. I've set up a gmail account and entered info into frontline but keep getting a message saying it can't reach the server.

Attempts with keyword forwarding result in "failed" attempts to send to email.

The laptop is connected to the Internet. Scratching my head trying to figure out what I'm overlooking here...
