I'm currently on the testing phase. I intend to use Flsms in sending updates on feed, hog and broiler price to farmers in Calabarzon who are members of our Coop.
I tried using a borrowed Sony Ericsson which worked but I have to return it.
I tried Flsms with my phones (Nokia 3120 Classic + bluetooth and Motorola W156 + wire) but these were not detected. So I bought a Smartbro dongle (Huawei E156c) for $42 and a special SIM (+62-908-XXX-2222) for $5.21 which I'm now using. As the dongle's purpose is for mobile broadband, it comes with a software making it locked to Smart (the provider).
I'm still finding a way for the device to be unlocked so that I could use SIM from other networks. Right now I'm using Smart's promo which allows sending unlimited number of SMS from this SIM to Smart users.
Problems encountered, so far:
1. Noforms: This appears when the keyword sent by the user does not match the programmed keyword. I don't know if this is related to the length of the keyword used.
Example: When YES was the supposed reply and the user replied yes
2. The dongle is only detected by Flsms after the Smart software is opened and then closed.
