Frontline SMS and vital (birth, death, marriage etc.) registration systems

I would be very interested to hear about any actual or under development applications of Frontline SMS to vital event registration systems -- birth, deaths, marriages and so on.

Hi Linda - I've been away for a couple of days, just catching up with email and yes I've received Mika's. Many thanks for organising this.

Hi Andrew - I saw that my colleague Mika sent you some information by email -- did you receive it? If not, I will resend it!

Many thanks for your comments here and on your blog, Linda. Seems that there's a lot going on in this area. It would be good to see the Powerpoint presentation if someone is able to send it to me.

Hi Andrew - I saw you'd commented on my blog also, but here is a link where I wrote about some work that Plan Kenya is doing in Kwale District. There's a very nice powerpoint presentation that they've also created that maps/explains how the program works that I can ask the folks working on it to send you by email. http://lindaraftree.wordpress.com/2009/06/28/modernizing-birth-regi.... Jonathan Mativo (also here on Ning) had worked on some of this before so he may also have information for you. Cheers! Linda

Thanks for posting, Andrew. Let us know if you get no joy, but I'm sure someone will pop up!
