Dear members, as you might have seen from the discussion started by Gael, National Agricultural Information Services is in the process of using FrontlineSMS tool to enable farmers give feedback to radio and television programmes which the department broadcasts. The idea is to help farmers get the quickest responses to their problems. At the moment the feedback system we are are using takes too long for feedback to come from farmers and from prgramme producers to the farmers.
We feel frontlineSMS is the solution. The challenge then is how to keep the server updated with the possible replies to the messages that will be sent by requesting farmers' mobile phones. Updates are anticipated to come from agriculture subject matter specialists such as researchers. But knowing our researchers, they are likely to take too long to give responses. How should we handle this anticipated problem?
