Forwarding messages from FrontlineSMS to a Twitter account

This demonstration shows how to set up FrontlineSMS keyword to forward messages to a Twitter account. This can be used to distribute messages to the Internet without a direct Internet connection. In this demo, FrontlineSMS is used to anonymize the messages sent to the Internet by removing callerID and other identifying details of the sender.

Thanks Gordon for your response. We are using a Netman, modem locked to the national cell phone provider and it works perfectly w/FrontlineSMS, is in our budget, but won't interface with Twitter. The device/modem/netman will only connect if internet is disconnected.

Hi Joellen, the other way I've done this is to have incoming texts forwarded to a twittermail account.  This will work if you have email/internet access with FLSMS:

Was so excited but found out that our cell carrier in Namibia does not connect with Twitter. We are using a modem, so I am assuming that is that.

Hi George, there are a couple of postings that describe alternate ways of accessing Twitter using an Internet connection:

Interesting!.  This works for the many-but-not-all countries where twitter can be accessed via text messaging. Isn't there an http channel? (via RSS for example)?
